Yancey’s Fancy Cheese was looking to launch a new line of artisanal cheeses that warranted a new look to distinguish it from the company’s main line of products and establish it as a higher end and more natural option.

OWNING FARM NATURAL.
RETHINKING
THE LOGO.
We designed a completely new logo to accompany the rebrand. Taking inspiration from farm natural, the new logo options convey a high end, artisanal feel, shortening Yancey’s Fancy to YF and simplifying the design.

WARM, NATURAL COLORS.
We created a color palette with tones pulled from the misty sunset fields of America’s heartland farms and ranches.
A NEW WAY TO STAND OUT.
We designed labels with natural tones, bold minimalist branding, and simple ingredient lists, to help the brand stand out on grocery shelves as a more premium cheese option.
LET’S GET SUSTAINABLE.
Knowing that the target audience were young millennials, we wanted to make sure that the brand was doing its part. And so we introduced the idea of paper packaging. We mocked up sample products with options of light, natural, or dark premium paper sealed with a recognizable branded label, subtle farm imagery and delicious product photography front and center.
